Director of Music

Daniel Galbreath is a performer, educator, and community organizer. As Director of Music at St. Mark’s, he works to make music a meaningful part of life for every parishioner, while building a program that brings the wider Cheyenne community together through powerful artistic experiences. Daniel also teaches violin and viola at Laramie County Community College, plays with the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra, and serves as a grassroots organizer for a statewide nonprofit. A proud graduate of the University of Wyoming, Daniel went on to earn masters degrees (choral conducting & musicology) and a PhD from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (UK). He has published research in the field of performance studies, music & wellness, and physical theatre practice. In England, he worked as a professional conductor, workshop leader, and lecturer; he has earned a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and was a Clay Teaching Faculty Fellow at UW. In his free time, he loves watching horror movies, reading, and roping his long-suffering husband into over-ambitious garden projects.
